Methodomics : Haplotype Frequencies Calculation
The set of genes at more than ones locus that are all inherited by a single parent is a haplotype. The frequency of a haplotype in a population is the number of gametes bearing a particular combination of genes. The prediction of the appearance of a combination of genes on a given chromosome plays a major role in identifying genetic predisposition to human disease or in anticipating compatibility in organs transplants.
